A parade of teachers outside Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School today reminded the students and their parents how much they are missed during the pandemic.

Educators and support staff stood outside the school with signs saying ‘We Miss You” as cars drove by and reciprocated by honking their horns.

“These are such strange times that we are missing that real face-to-face connection,” said Principal Patsy-Anne Takacs.

“Even with video chat and phone calls, we just miss seeing the kids and they’re missing us. This (parade) is an opportunity to connect.”

Staff even had a small mail box stand set up for student Jamie Hunter to receive mail from the school.

It was the perfect way to end a global pandemic Friday.
