Highway 3 was plugged up for a few hours on Saturday after a semi truck wiped out.
The call came into the Osoyoos RCMP at 7:20 a.m. The responded to a single vehicle collision near Richter Pass. The truck lost control on an icy patch of road, smashed through a barrier and was hanging over a steep embankment when it came to a rest.
The driver appeared uninjured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
After his truck was recovered from the embankment, the highway reopened around 2:30 p.m.
