A break in at Desert Country Liquor Store on Main Street in Oliver on Saturday has left the store not only missing merchandise, but a front window as well.

On Saturday morning Oliver RCMP responded to a report of a break in at the store. Upon arriving on scene, police discovered that the suspect vehicle had driven through the front window of the liquor store causing thousands of dollars in damage. Once inside the suspect stole a number of items before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle that was used in the crime was a 2013 Kia Sorrento, which had been stolen in town early Saturday morning. Osoyoos RCMP recovered the stolen vehicle the next day.

Police are actively investigating this incident. Anyone that has any information is asked to please call Oliver RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

  1. Someone tried to steal my truck on Friday morning, but I was up early for work on Friday and must have scared them away. This is getting out of hand!
