This a fabulously fun musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde.

The show follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Elle appears to have it all but her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers,
professors and her ex.

With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

We have about 40 students participating in the show. They are students from Grade 8-12. Our lead is Kyah Allen who is a Grade 9 student.

What makes this show special/different:

This is almost an operetta style musical with more singing than talking. The music has been a huge challenge as it is not well known and required a ton of learning.

The story and the characters are very fun and very endearing. We have worked extremely hard to put the show together.

We feature a live band under the musical direction of Lisa Ante. We also have a large team of SOSS staff who have spent countless hours building and painting sets, constructing costumes, providing technical elements, etc. It is
a massive undertaking for sure!

This SOSS production run March 5, 6, and 7 at 7 p.m. with a matinee on the 7th at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through the Frank Venables box office or the SOSS Library.
