The One-to-One Children’s Literacy Program uses a unique approach that provides one-to-one tutoring to elementary school students who are struggling with reading.
Volunteer tutors work with students during school hours. As a volunteer reading tutor, you help children develop literacy skills to last a lifetime.
The ability to read is an important key to success in school and in life. By dedicating just 1.5 hours per week you’ll be improving students’ self confidence and giving them hope for a brighter future.
Volunteer tutors are needed for Oliver Elementary School and Sen Pok Chin School.
Tutors receive training and ongoing support. If you’re 18 years or older, are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more about what’s involved, contact Lynn Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org or 250-496-5511. Please consider making a difference in a young person’s life.
