Penticton RCMP ask for help identifying alleged sexual offender

A lot of paperwork by the Oliver RCMP has resulted in yet another known criminal to be taken off the street.

Police in Penticton are reaching out to the South Okanagan for help identifying an alleged sexual offender.

Penticton RCMP are investigating a sexual assault which had occurred on a city employee.

On August 3 at approximately 8 a.m., a City of Penticton employee who was completing landscaping duties on the south end of the town reported being sexually assaulted by an unknown man.

The man approached the lone employee as she was weed eating, and began saying lewd comments. When the employee began to walk away she was grabbed from behind. She was able to get away from the man without further issue.

The man was described as Caucasian, in his 50’s, 6 feet tall, bald, wearing a navy blue tank-top, black shorts, black work boots and had a faded tattoo on his right upper arm.

Should the public have any information, they are encouraged to contact the Penticton RCMP, 250-492-4300.
