Throwing tomatoes isn’t just for a bad performance for Oliver’s Jamie Klinck. It ended up landing the 47-year-old man nine months of probation.

After becoming upset that seasonal workers from an orchard adjacent to his property woke him up on the morning of Aug. 31, an argument broke out between Klinck and the workers which escalated into a tomato fight.

Police were called by both parties and arrested Klinck upon arrival.

Klink pleaded guilty to one count of assault in provincial court in Penticton on Friday.
