Several new educators are getting ready for back to school at Oliver Elementary next month.

Rosie Aujla is the new Grade 6 teacher, while Cheryl MacLeod is the new child care worker.

Brenda Field and Alaina Smith are the new early childhood educators working in the Seamless Day program.

Principal Jason McAllister said OES is a pilot site for B.C.’s first Seamless Day Kindergarten program, involving before and after school care.

This year will be OES’s first full year of the Green Team. “Our new school garden is approaching its first harvest,” McAllister said, noting students help with composting, worm casings, planting, weeding and harvesting.

Continuing programs include Learn To Run, hockey academy, kickboxing and fine arts.
