Being fairly new to the Okanagan, just short of two years, I’ve come to love this part of the valley, this town and the community, and of course the people who make this town so special.
Recently I had cause to have a bad day when an individual decided they needed my main means of local transportation, aka, my mountain bike.
First thing in the morning I was at the local police station to file my sad news. Within about two hours I received a call from a member of the police with the news that my bike was recovered and waiting for me to come and get it.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the officers and the staff who man the front office and patrol the streets of this jewel of the Okanagan that we call home.
If you’re in need of help, the Oliver police detachment is where you will find it.
Thanks for making my day a good day.
