Throngs of people flocked to SORCO’s open house today to see what volunteers have been doing at the facility over the past year.

Once again, Houdini the Great Horned Owl was there, along with burrowing owl Pluto. The public also got to view the raptor cages and some birds of prey.

  1. Where and what is Sorcos ? This new generation of short form talking is great I guess but for more senior people like myself I find it confusing. Seems today you can have a complete sentence and never actually use a whole word. Everything is abbreviated and so many are so similar that sometimes what one reads does not make sense the first time. However, I digress, I am still wanting to know what Sorco is and where it is. Any helpers !?

    • SORCO stands for South Okanagan Rehabilitation Centre of Owls. But they also care for hawks and eagles.
