Town council is considering awarding an economic development strategy contract to EcoPlan for $72,140.
That’s the staff recommendation that will be discussed on Tuesday.
The strategy will provide a detailed road map for economic development in Oliver by determining priorities and allocating resources for the objectives.
The Town was successful in a grant application and received $71,802 from the Rural Dividend Fund (to cover the strategy).
The Town received five proposals, with three being shortlisted. EcoPlan scored highest and was recommended by staff because it previously worked on the Town’s Official Community Plan and Downtown Action Plan.
