The Town of Oliver is looking at spending $749,625 to upgrade Earle Crescent, with the winning contractor being Grizzly Excavating Ltd.
Council is expected to approve the tender on Monday, which will also include paving Veterans and Church Avenue.
One design change involves dropping the plan to include a pedestrian crossing bumpout by Hillside Drive.
Director of Operations Shawn Goodsell said their engineers stated they couldn’t make a proper bumpout work at this location because of the road geometry. But he noted they added warning “X” paint before the crosswalk and pedestrian signs to address safety.
