You must really like the sport of curling if you’re throwing rocks until midnight.

“They started early in the morning and curled until midnight on both Friday and Saturday,” said Dale Dodge of last weekend’s combined bonspiel at the Eastlink Curling Centre in Oliver.

Dodge said 20 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams competed in the 15th annual event.

“They curled, they feasted and they danced to the music of Darryl Lange,” Dodge said, noting there were plenty of dance partners Saturday night.

He pointed out the bonspiel is one of the highlights of the curling season in the Okanagan because of the fun and great prizes.

Winners of the women’s A event were: Skip¬†Joelle Majeau, Cindy Grigg, Steffany Buholzer and Vanessa Harrison.

Winners of the men’s A event were:¬†Skip Glen Brennan, Art Lappalainen, John McKay and Roland Dheilly.
