Oliver residents can makes changes to their automated cart system if they desire.
Town council recently discussed amending its solid waste services bylaw pertaining to fees and charges, and to allow homeowners to request changes to the new automated cart system for the collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste.
To reflect the cost of the program, annual fees are necessary. But Corporate Officer Diane Vaykovich says there is no additional cost for increasing the size, downgrading the size or opting out of the recycling program.
The cost for single or multi-family curbside garbage and recycling collection remains the same at $110 per year.
