Special to the Chronicle
Last Monday The Dance Studio in Oliver wrapped up their first annual Bring Your Dad To Dance Week, which was a smashing success.
Dads, grandpas, uncles and even some brothers joined in on the fun. Some dressed it tutus, but all dressed up in attitude took dance classes alongside their children.
From Tiny Toes to Advanced Hip Hop and Ballet classes, the men in our lives showed us all what strong male role models our children have.
The proud smiles on the children faces were the true testament of how successful the week really was.
Thanks to Miss Leah for always thinking of how to make dance more fun for all ages and how to bring families together: dads dancing alongside their children, moms laughing and taking lots of proof, little dancers rolling their eyes at their dads and saying, “that’s not how it’s done, daddy.”
Now Miss Leah has a message to all the moms: “Get ready, time to dust off your dancing shoes. The time is coming for you to show us your moves.”
The Dance Studio is preparing for Bring Your Mom to Dance Week, coming in May.
