Oliver Osoyoos Search and Rescue (OOSAR) is a little richer, thanks to the 100 Women Who Care – Oliver, Osoyoos and OK Falls group.

The group met on Wednesday evening at the Osoyoos Golf Club and had the opportunity to hear from three local charities: the Oliver Food Bank, the Osoyoos Baptist Church and OOSAR.

The women, who each donated $100, voted on which charity walked away with all of the funds.

OOSAR took home the total of $3,200.

“Thank you to all who came out, as well as to those who sent in donations ahead of time,” said group member Petra Veintimilla. “Your support of our local charities is very much appreciated.”

The next meeting of the 100 Women Who Care will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. at Fairview Mountain Golf Course in Oliver.

More information about how to get involved is available on the 100 Women Who Care Facebook page, or by emailing 100womenwhocaresouthok@gmail.com.
