The level of Osoyoos Lake has now surpassed 916 feet above sea level, just over a foot shy of the great flood of 1972. And with lots of snowpack still in the mountains, it’s not known how much higher the lake will continue to rise.

Osoyoos Times Editor Richard McGuire toured Osoyoos on Wednesday and Thursday May 9 and 10, checking the flood’s development and talking to people involved.
