If all goes according to plan, the Wine Capital of Canada will soon be called “Canada’s Wine Capital.”

Not much of a change but it’s cleaner and simpler says the man behind Oliver’s brand refresh project.

Tony Munday from Munday Media and Design gave council a sneak peek at the new branding model for the Town.

“We’re getting great buy-in,” Munday said at the start of his presentation on Monday.

Munday showed council members brighter colours in the Town’s logo, represented by a leaf, grape clusters and fruit.

Councillor Petra Veintimilla said the brand refresh “looks great with subtle changes.”

Fellow Councillor Dave Mattes agreed, saying it looks “very positive.”

Munday said they hope to launch the new branding in mid to late June. It was noted the Town’s pole banner flags, entry signs and website will need updating.

Chief Administrative Officer Cathy Cowan said they are working on a copyright for the new “Canada’s Wine Capital” title.
