The Oliver Tennis Club hosted its fifth annual mixed doubles tennis tournament on September 14-15.

Seventeen teams competed for bragging rights in taking home top spot in each of the three divisions.

The tournament hosted teams from Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Summerland, Peachland, Kelowna, and as far away as Victoria.

Tournament director Bob Grant was extremely pleased with the results of the tournament.

“It’s no wonder participants continually say that the Oliver tennis tournament is one of the best tournaments around.”

Teams played a total of five matches and were treated to a wonderful time at the annual banquet catered by Oliver Parks and Recreation Catering Services.

Kees and Dawna den Otter from Kelowna won the Rodger’s Cup division, while Andre Mageson and Dian Lees from Oliver won the US Open division.

Gary McClune from Oliver and Saundra Priester from Summerland won the Australian open division.
