Downed power lines from Sunday evening’s storm caused a grass fire west of Test Orchard Road.

One resident on Secrest Hill Road said the rain is what prevented a large spread.

Willowbrook Fire Department was called to address hot spots this morning, with the help of a water tender from Oliver.

No structures were impacted by the blaze.

The storm also left 229 properties without power. FortisBC estimates outages will be restored by 5 p.m.
