Senior photography students of Southern Okanagan Secondary School have been working hard to capture life in Oliver and now they want to share it with the rest of the town.
The students toured around Oliver, taking unique photos of structures, alleys and objects with a goal of creating a show that told a story about living in a small town and finding ways to make the more run-down areas of Oliver into beautiful works of art.
The show, titled Finding Beauty- Life in a Small Town, will be on display at the Leza Macdonald Art Gallery located in Beyond Bliss on Main Street.
The students are hosting an opening reception on January 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. and their work will remain on display until the end of the month.
Also on display will be work from the Photography 11/12 collaboration with Mrs. Chenier’s Kindergarten class from Oliver Elementary School.
