The Statement of Financial Information is released annually by law. So let’s start with the directors.
The top paid board member is the chairman, of course. Last year Karla Kozakevich made $62,607, with $8,360 in expenses.
The next highest paid director is Michael Brydon at $31,499, followed by Area A (rural Osoyoos) director Mark Pendergraft at $30,347. His expense account totaled $5,165.
Area C (rural Oliver) director Terry Schafer was paid $28,322, with $4,664 in expenses.
Area D director Tom Siddon’s remuneration amounted to $27,023. His expenses last year totaled $4,569.
The lowest remunerated directors on the board were paid $911. They were Richard Barkwill, Amanda Doyle-Fleishman and Denis Potter.
The highest paid employee at the regional district is Chief Administrative Officer Bill Newell at $157,625. Next up is Community Services Manager Mark Woods at $140,593. Their expense accounts were $4,427 and $5,187, respectively.
