Thieves stoop to new low

On June 17 Oliver RCMP received a report from an Oliver resident that her handicap parking placard was stolen from inside her vehicle.

“It is a representation of how even the low value items are stolen.  In this instance the vehicle was left insecure and there are no suspects identified,” said Sgt. Ken Harrington.

Police on the lookout for sunglasses

On June 19 an Oliver resident in the area of Lakeside Drive and Lakeside Place reported that his vehicle had been entered overnight.

Besides $70 in change stolen, a pair of black framed, green lens Oakley sunglasses was also taken.

“These sunglasses are a unique item and the public and parents are asked to watch out for someone they know sporting a new pair of shades,” said Sgt. Ken Harrington.
