There are three new fire chiefs at the helm in Willowbrook, Okanagan Falls and Osoyoos.

Patrick Lantz takes the reins for the Willowbrook Fire Department, replacing Brad Fossett who recently retired.

Lantz has been an active member of the department for 12 years, previously holding the positions of truck captain, training captain and deputy chief.

“Mr. Lantz is a dedicated fire officer with a strong history of community safety involvement who is passionate about training to do the job right,” said regional district chairperson Karla Kozakevich.

She thanked Fossett for serving as fire chief for the past five years, noting he was responsible for updating the firefighter training program, increasing membership, and upgrading equipment.

In Okanagan Falls, Rob Oliver is the new chief, taking over for Bob Haddow.

Oliver has been an active member of the department for 35 years, previously holding the positions of training captain and deputy chief.

“Mr. Oliver is a dedicated fire officer who is passionate about helping people and has a strong history of community safety involvement,” Kozakevich said.

She thanked Haddow for serving as chief for 50 years.

In the Town of Osoyoos, Ryan McCaskill has been voted in as new chief, replacing longtime chief Rick Jones.
