Fire crews extinguished an ignited truck on Friday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., the Oliver Fire Department responded that the engine of a dump truck was on fire in the 5700 block of Main Street, south of Skagit Street.

The driver noticed the truck wasn’t running normal and pulled over, department spokesperson Rob Graham said. That’s when the truck went up in flames.

Graham said the call was “pretty straight forward.” Crews had to redirect traffic to keep the public away from the fire.

“Everything was knocked down quickly and crews were on scene for about 45 minutes.”

The cause of the fire is not known. More information to come.
