A young woman suffered undetermined injuries following a single vehicle accident at the rock bluff at Vaseux Lake this morning before 8 a.m.

It is reported that the driver struck the rock bluff on Highway 97 and rolled her vehicle, which ended up near the cement barriers on the west side of the roadway.

Members of the Okanagan Falls Volunteer Fire Department attended and extricated the woman with the Jaws of Life. The driver was reportedly unconscious at the time.

Ambulance rushed the woman to Penticton Regional Hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Traffic in both directions was delayed for some time while emergency personnel cleared the scene.

The cause is still being investigated.
