When hockey playoffs resume this week for the Osoyoos Coyotes, they’ll be facing the Kelowna Chiefs.
Kelowna eliminated Summerland on Saturday night in the seventh game of the best-of-seven Okanagan Division semifinal. The score was 3-0.
Although Kelowna led the series 3-1 after four games, the Summerland Steam fought back in games five and six to tie the series.
The Coyotes have been cooling their heels since they eliminated the Princeton Posse Feb. 27 after four straight wins.
The division final series starts this Tuesday, March 6 in Osoyoos and the second game is Wednesday. Both home games start at 7:35 p.m. at the Sun Bowl Arena.
Games three and four take place in Kelowna on Friday and Saturday.
If further games are needed, they would take place in Osoyoos on Monday, March 12, in Kelowna on Tuesday March 13, and in Osoyoos on Wednesday, March 14.
The other division final in the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference will be played between the 100 Mile House Wranglers and the Revelstoke Grizzlies of the Doug Birks Division. That series starts in Revelstoke.
100 Mile House swept the Chase Heat in four games and Revelstoke eliminated the Kamloops Storm in six.
In the Kootenay Conference, the Columbia Valley Rockies will face the Kimberley Dynamiters in the Eddie Mountain Division final. The opening game is in Kimberley.
In the Neil Murdoch Division, the Castlegar Rebels will face the Nelson Leafs. That series starts in Nelson.
