The high water table has slowed down construction on Fairview Road in Oliver.

A press release issued by the Town of Oliver said that “progress has been slower than anticipated,” and they plan on announcing a date for when construction will move to Station Street soon.

Currently, construction crews are upgrading water, sewer and storm water lines on Fairview Road. The majority of the work will continue on to Station Street to Bank Avenue.

The project started on February 15 this year and will continue to into June.

Traffic disruptions and temporary road closures will continue throughout the project duration.

“We ask that people be patient, be aware of traffic control, and help support the local businesses during this project,” the release from the Town read.
